Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Jewelry Identifier processes, why it is needed, where third parties are involved, and the choices available to you.

1. Who operates Jewelry Identifier
Ideas All Day Ltd. operates the Jewelry Identifier iOS app, the website at jewelryidentifierapp.com, its educational content, and the limited web identification preview. Contact us at support@ideasallday.com.
2. Information we process
Jewelry photos and prompts
Photos and related prompts are processed to return an identification. They may reveal personal details unintentionally present in the image, so crop out people, documents, addresses, and unrelated objects.
App and feature data
Saved jewelry records are kept through the app's local storage and, when enabled, your private Apple iCloud/CloudKit container. The app may also process purchase entitlement, DeviceCheck, notification, feedback, and feature-use data.
Abuse-prevention data
The web preview uses short-lived HMAC-pseudonymized browser, network, and request identifiers, plus provider token counts and status. We do not store raw IP addresses in the web-scan tables.
Analytics and diagnostics
We process page views, CTA interactions, app feature events, crashes, and performance information. The web funnel does not send the uploaded photo, jewelry result, or value to analytics.
3. Photo processing and storage
Web preview: the selected photo is resized in your browser, decoded and stripped of metadata on our server, held in memory for the request, and sent to our AI processor. Jewelry Identifier does not write the web photo or structured result to its database or object storage.
iPhone app: photos you choose to save may be stored on your device and through Apple services used by the app. Identification photos are also transmitted through our infrastructure and AI processor to produce the requested result.
Our infrastructure and AI processors may temporarily retain request data under their commercial service terms, security practices, and any account-specific retention settings. Do not upload a photo if it contains information you do not want processed by those providers.
4. Service providers
We use service providers to operate the product. They process data only for their relevant function and under their own contractual and privacy obligations. These may include:
- Anthropic for AI photo and text analysis.
- Vercel for website hosting, Functions, delivery, web analytics, and the app's protected AI-routing service.
- Hetzner-hosted PostgreSQL for short-lived web-preview quota, idempotency, and request-status records only.
- Cloudflare Turnstile for bot and abuse verification on the web preview.
- Apple for App Store purchases, DeviceCheck, push notifications, and any iCloud/CloudKit app storage you enable.
- Aptabase for privacy-focused app feature analytics, plus platform crash and diagnostic services where enabled.
We do not sell jewelry photos or personal information. Sending information to a processor so it can provide the service is a disclosure necessary to operate the feature; it is not a sale.
5. Retention
- Web photos and results are not persisted in Jewelry Identifier storage.
- Web request/idempotency records become eligible for deletion after 48 hours and contain hashes and operational metadata, not the image or result. A daily cleanup normally removes them within roughly 72 hours of the request; a missed cleanup can extend that window.
- Web quota counters are normally removed after their active windows plus a short operational buffer.
- Saved app content remains on your device and in your private Apple-hosted app storage until you remove it or disable/delete that storage through the available Apple and app controls.
- Analytics, diagnostics, transaction, security, and support records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and legal obligations.
6. Cookies and local browser data
The web preview sets a signed, HttpOnly browser cookie for up to 30 days to enforce fair-use limits. It contains a random identifier and signature, not a photo, result, name, email, or raw IP address. Local image previews exist only in the current browser page.
7. Your choices and requests
You can choose not to upload a photo, crop sensitive surroundings, delete saved app content, disable notifications, and manage subscriptions through Apple. To ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right that applies in your region, email support@ideasallday.com. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.
8. Security, transfers, and children
We use encryption in transit, access controls, short-lived pseudonymous web-scan records, request limits, and provider-side controls. No internet service can promise absolute security. Providers may process data in countries other than yours under their applicable transfer mechanisms.
Jewelry Identifier is not directed to children under the age required to consent to online services in their country. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted personal information can contact us for review.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to:
